Director of Recordkeeping
Sheri Medlin, QKA
Sheri is a key member of MVP’s leadership team, serving as the Director of Recordkeeping and providing strategic leadership across recordkeeping, distributions, payroll, and operations. With a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, she guides her team in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality service to clients and advisors. Sheri leads, mentors, and develops staff across multiple departments, fosters a culture of accountability and high performance, and actively participates in firmwide management and leadership initiatives to support MVP’s long-term vision.
Sheri is an expert on SRT software, managing system updates, outages, enhancements, and new feature testing to ensure continuity and minimize disruption. Sheri serves as a primary liaison for advisors, clients, and internal teams, addressing inquiries related to RK systems, operations, and plan functionality.
As a hands-on leader, Sheri oversees research and resolution of recordkeeping systems ensuring timely correction and training staff on effective resolution techniques. Sheri also leads RK-related projects and contributes to long-term planning by prioritizing initiatives, allocating resources, and supporting the company’s strategic direction.
Sheri ensures every plan is implemented and adjusted accurately and consistently, overseeing everything from participant and plan sponsor websites to participant statements and employer reporting. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University, she combines analytical expertise with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Outside the office, Sheri prefers beaches over mountains, loves being on the lake with her family, and competes in everything from 5Ks to triathlons. When she’s not racing, she’s daydreaming about Australia, enjoying Bojangles, or practicing her favorite dance moves from Dirty Dancing. If she could choose anyone to have dinner with, she’d pick George W. Bush—and she’d happily share a few glasses of wine with him.
