Kim Swanson, SHRM-CP

Kim brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for advocacy to MVP. With a career dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, she has worked extensively in both professional and community settings. After earning her Bachelor's degree, Kim began her professional career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, assisting disabled workers and veterans. She then took on leadership roles at the largest local nonprofit before transitioning to the education sector, where she helped families navigate policies and laws to best support their children’s needs. Her commitment to education extended beyond her career, serving for many years as a School Board Member.

Now, in a new professional chapter, Kim leverages her strong operational and financial management expertise as MVP’s Firm Administrator. As part of her ongoing commitment to professional growth and her human resource role, Kim has earned her SHRM-CP certification, solidifying her dedication to enhancing workplace practices and supporting employee development.

Beyond the office, she remains deeply involved in advocacy and volunteer work within her community. In her free time, she loves traveling and making memories with her family. She and her husband reside in Upstate New York, but if she could be anywhere, you’d find her by the ocean.
