DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE
Joyce Yaccarino, QKA, QKC, QPA, CPC
In loving memory of our valued colleague, Joyce.
Joyce E. Yaccarino, of Jackson, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Born in Toms River, she was a lifelong resident of Jackson.
Joyce spent more than 35 years in the retirement plan industry, where she was highly respected for her expertise and dedication. She began her career in human resources before discovering the dynamic world of retirement plan administration and consulting. A member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) since 1997, Joyce earned multiple prestigious designations, including Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC), and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA). She also contributed her time and knowledge to ASPPA’s Education and Exam Committee, serving in several leadership roles, including Vice Chair.
Joyce’s love of animals was a defining part of her life. A lifelong “Jersey Girl,” she shared her home with her beloved rescue dogs, Chase, a Sheltie mix, and Thistle, a Border Collie. She was deeply involved in the world of canine performance, where she designed agility courses, competed, and judged agility trials across the region. Her dogs earned numerous championship titles in agility and other canine sports. Over the years, Joyce also cared for a variety of animals — from sheep and peacocks to a cherished horse she owned from age four until his 36th birthday.
Joyce was predeceased by her father, John T. Manion; her husband of over 40 years, Neil Yaccarino, in 2023; and her brother-in-law, Dean Sparling. Surviving are her mother, Elaine M. Manion; siblings, John T. Manion Jr., Lynn Sparling, Beth Duke and husband John, and Jill Manion; nieces, Mary Kerzie, Deanna Sparling, Olivia Perillo, Sarah Duke, and Ava Farrar; and nephews, Jack Duke and John Yaccarino
